This is a great joint family of about more then 200 peoples, our village Namely 'Gunawati' is near  by Makrana, the famous white marbal produce town, it is in Nagaur distric of Rajasthan State, we  are Mertia Rathores, Akhesingh got Rajputs. Some facts - The famous Saint 'Meera bai' was from our  Mertia family, the marbal stone of world famous 'Taj Mahal' was from our village mines. The  members of our family faught first and second world wars, also visited for relief operations  after Hiroshima attacks. The members of this family are wellknown personalities of the Rajasthan  State and achieved goals in many fields including Defence, Civil services & business etc. This is  one of the famous Rajput family of the well educated peoples of the State of Rajasthan, India.
